BossBattle Analysis


Pikmin Adventure in Nintendo Land




Player has small pikmin companions.
Player can pick them up and throw to the enemy.



before enter the boss stage, player should have to activated the portal first. 
in this level, player gets extra health point and power-up items.

for activating a portal, player must push the botton with his companion.


The boss has purple bubbles on his back. player can attack and break the bubbles.
when the bubbles are broken, they gives power-up nectar. 
he has a health gauge so if player breaks the bubble, he lost his health points.




Player also hit the blocks and secret boxes on the map.
they gives random treats. 
playet can find a stone, bomb or health point. 
player can pick up the stone and bomb and throw it to the boss.
if the stone hit the boss, he will stuns for few seconds.



if player breaks all of the bubbles, boss will changes his shape and starts stage 2.
the bubbles move to his knees and somtimes it covers by his armor. 
he moves faster than stage 1, so it is harder to break the bubbles. 

he is covering his core bubble on his back. 
if player breaks the bubbles on his knees, the cover is unlocked. 
the battle is end when player breaks the core bubble. 





if the player defeats the boss, a spaceship comes for the player.

DFA Workshop Environment : Concept


Captain’s cabin of Ghost pirate ship

I got this idea from the Ponce de leon’s ship of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and blackbeard’s cabin.

The ship is abandoned and hollowed. no one in the ship and there are no sign of living things. the mist is covered the outside of ship, so inside of the ship is very dark and dusty. The Captain’s room is core place in the ship. the room is decorated by expensive treasures but they are all dusty and fade. -maybe they are covered by dried seaweeds or small shells- the curtain is ripped and window is dirty.

possible game mechanic is investigation and pop up enemy. The player can look around the room and toggle objects in the room. if the player stands on event points or toggles some assets, messages pops up. it could be also enemies or a boss character. this events may surprise the player with a sound or visual effect.   
Activity Volumes : turn over pages of captain’s log, open the treasure chest, touch the gold statues, pick up the one of the treasures in the room…

The antique furniture will be a great assets for the room. Treasure chest, desk and maps, chairs could be nice props for the space.


If I made it 3d version, camera will slowly shaking like the ship floats on the sea..

Modular Kit : Final







I know my texture progress was horrible. My monitor did not show the really color of them...
when I checked the colors on class projector, it was...not good.
My monitor still shows very pale colors!!!
